  1. The Wall That Heals - Replica of Vietnam Veterans Memorial and Mobile Education Center

    April 20, 2017 - April 23, 2017, All Day @ Town Point Park

    The Wall That Heals, a 250-foot replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, along with a mobile Education Center, is coming to Norfolk on April 20-23 at Nauticus and will be open 24 hours a day and free to the public. The Wall That Heals honors the more than three million Americans who served in the U.S. Armed forces in the Vietnam War and it bears the names of the more than 58,000 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam.

    Lorrie Carter Bennett, the daughter of Anita Carter of the Carter Sisters and granddaughter of Mother Maybelle Carter of the original Carter Family, is a talented singer with many great musical credits in her own right. Ronnie Williams is a recognized authority on the music of the Carter Family who performed with Mother Maybelle in the 1970s and now plays often with his group, The Carter Family Sound.
