An exhibition dedicated to the art of the Burning Man Festival held annually in Nevada will open at the Hermitage Museum and run through October 14. The exhibition will feature outdoor and indoor artworks from six of Burning Man's artist teams. Immersive, large-scale sculptures and interactive installations will transform the Hermitage grounds for five months.

The Norfolk Westside Transit Study is a federally-funded joint HRT/City study. The 1st phase will look at alternatives to extend The Tide or high capacity transit to Naval Station Norfolk along the west side of Norfolk. The study began in April 2017 and is expected to take 12 months to complete.

The City of Norfolk Adopted Fiscal Year (FY 2018) Budget includes $577,000 for grants to advance City Council's priorities of housing, education and public safety. Human Services Grants (HSG) will provide resources to Norfolk’s at risk populations of children, families, the elderly and
disabled, the impoverished, and those experiencing homelessness. Awards are limited to a maximum of $60,000 per eligible direct service item as described under Program Priorities in the instructions.
