History
Magnolia Cemetery was originally established as a private cemetery by the Berkley Cemetery Corporation around 1860. The cemetery served Berkley, then a suburb of Norfolk.
Berkley was annexed by the City of Norfolk in 1906, and in 1911 it was sold to the City for $1.00. Magnolia's cemetery records are maintained at Riverside Cemetery.
