The Main Event: A Weekend Celebration for the Arts Announces Visual Art Programming

Weekend Fundraiser Brings Pop-Up Art Exhibits To The Main, Showcasing Both Established & Emerging Artists’ Works

THE MAIN Event: A Weekend Celebration For The Arts, March 24-26, 2017 continues to add art-focused programming to a weekend fundraising event that will be a preview of  Norfolk’s newest social destination, The Main.

The event offers a full program of both performing and visual art experiences for ticket holders featuring various pieces from eight different art organizations. The Main's pop-up galleries will house a unique collection of art ranging from large-scale sculptures to avant-garde paintings.

“From The Main’s inception, we have always wanted to create a destination that complimented Norfolk’s burgeoning arts scene,” said Gold Key | PHR CEO Bruce Thompson.

“We are ecstatic that the art community has rallied behind this weekend celebration, and we hope that we not only raise funds for the arts, but also raise awareness for our local organizations and encourage our community to continue the celebration well after we open our doors.”
