The Violent Crime Team prosecutes violent felony crimes committed by adult defendants against adult victims. These crimes include the offenses of murder, sexual assault, robbery, and other crimes of violence. On a periodic basis the results of significant cases will be posted below to inform members of the community of the nature of the crime, the general area of the city where the offense occurred and the court disposition. The sentence adjudged in each case is dependent upon not only the facts of the case, but also the nature of each defendant’s prior criminal record. Any person sentenced to a term of active incarceration for a felony offense committed on or after January 1, 1995 is not eligible for parole.
