Fax Policy

    The court does not have a fax machine.

    The court does not accept any pleadings, documents or requests by fax.  Items directed to the Court’s attention should be sent by US mail, other mail services or by personal delivery.  Use the mail at your own risk.

     

Courtroom Etiquette

    Dress appropriately. 

    Shirts and shoes are required.

    No shorts, hats, flip flops

    Cell phones and beepers should be turned off prior to entering the courtroom

    Once you are in the courtroom and court has started, you need to be quiet and listen for your case to be called.

    If you are standing in the hallways outside the courtroom, please be quiet.

    If you have a child with you and he/she starts crying, take him/her out of the courtroom and away from the courtrooms in the hallways.

     

    Inclement Weather Policy

      You should tune in to the local news stations for closings.

      If the courts close for inclement weather the following policies will apply for that division.

      Civil Division and Small Claims – cases will be tried on the following business day that the courts are open.

      Traffic Division – you will be notified by mail of your new court date.

      Criminal Division – you will be notified by mail of your new court date.
