The Bureau continually strives to be recognized as a team of Fleet Professionals who provide quality maintenance and fueling services to all customers, whether internal or external; to ensure safe, operable vehicles and equipment in support of City programs; and to use City resources in the most efficient way possible.

About Fleet Management

Fleet enjoys a modern 47-bay facility, with 72 skilled and dedicated employees. The division is responsible for over 2,000 vehicles and equipments with a replacement value of $88.5M. The average availability for use is at 86%. A small 14% are in for repair at any given time.

Annually we purchase approximately two million gallons of fuel, process 13,320 repair orders, and 14,640 parts orders. For fiscal year 2005 we were approved to purchase 120 vehicles and equipment, and to date have placed (processed) 115 into service. For fiscal year 2006 we were approved to purchase 152 vehicles and currently have placed (processed) 23 into service.
