Roads Earned Income Tax Credit Coalition
(SHREITC)
which promotes awareness of the federal Earned Income Tax Credit for
low-income families, provides free individual income tax preparation
services, and helps taxpayers better manage their finances through
financial education classes.
The Planning Council
manages the Department of Human Services' Childcare Assistance
Program and

Broker Team which partners with the
Homeless Action & Response Team
(HART) to
improve and strengthen communication between landlords and Norfolk
families who are in need of stable and affordable housing.
Senior
Services of Southeastern Virginiapartnered with the
Norfolk Department of Human Services in 2003 to create The Center
for Aging, a one-stop resource and referral center for Norfolk
seniors and their caregivers.
Virginia
Tidewater Consortium for Higher Education enhances
educational opportunities for students attending 13 institutions of
higher learning and provides educational guidance to participants of
the Virginia Initiative for Employment not Welfare (VIEW) program
administered by the Norfolk Department of Human Services.
