1. When does Norfolk Fire-Rescue (NFR) take applications?
    The acceptance of applications is ongoing.  
2. When is Norfolk Fire-Rescue (NFR) going to start another hiring process?
    NFR will start a hiring process when we have positions to fill. Please email nfrrecruitment@norfolk.gov for details.
3. How many fire academies does NFR run per year? 
    NFR has one recruit academy per year that begins in January and runs consecutively for seven months. After graduation as a Firefighter/EMT-Enhanced, each recruit has the option to continue their education as an EMT-Intermediate.  
4. How do I find out about the status of my application?
