Keep Norfolk Beautiful!  During this course, the experts at Keep Norfolk Beautiful will provide you with the information you need to organize a successful neighborhood clean-up from start to finish.  As an added bonus, you will find out about resources available through Keep Norfolk Beautiful that will make your clean-up easier!

 

Planning a Neighborhood Event

Make your next neighborhood event one to remember!  During this course, participants will learn the basic elements of successfully planning a neighborhood event as well as City requirements for certain special events and City resources available to make your event even better.

Conflict happens.  In this course taught by professionals in the field of mediation, learn practical skills to effectively work through conflict among neighbors and civic league members to produce results that will have a positive impact on your community.

 

Volunteer recruitment & Retention

The importance of volunteerism can't be overstated.  Whether you're on the board of a civic league or volunteer in other ways in your neighborhood. This course will discuss what motivates people to volunteer and strategies for recruitment.
