Parking Violation FAQs

For your convenience, parking violations can be paid by several different methods:

• Pay by Mail: Utilize the envelope provided with your citation and mail your payment to:

• Pay Online: Pay your parking tickets online using a credit card. Visit our citation payments web page at: https://www.ccspaycite.com/cit/index.aspx?partition=NFK
• Pay by Phone: Pay by credit card by calling Norfolk Citation Collection Services at the toll free telephone number 1-866-425-3269. City of Norfolk Agency Code: 1563. Payment by: Master Card, Visa and American Express. A convenience fee of $2.95 will be assessed for each citation paid.
• Drop Boxes: Utilize the payment drop boxes located at:

  Open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday

You must pay the fine within 30 days of the date the ticket was issued. See the Fee Schedule for additional information.

If the fine is not paid within 30 days after the ticket was issued, a late penalty of $50 and an Administrative Fee of $20 will be added. See the Fee Schedule for additional information. The following actions may result as well:

• If the registered owner of a vehicle has three (3) unpaid parking tickets for any violation, the vehicle is subject to tow. In order for a registered owner to recover a towed vehicle, all parking fees and fines owed, as well as all towing and storage fees incurred will have to be paid in full.
• Cash, credit cards and money orders ONLY are accepted for payment of balances related to DMV holds, returned checks and towed vehicles.

If you feel there is a valid reason why you should not be responsible for a parking fine, you have the right to contest the ticket.
