Hours of Operation:

Holding Dates:
We will tentatively hold a date upon request only when the name of the proposed event and sponsor is provided. Normally, a tentative date will be held for a maximum of two weeks without reconfirmation. Should we receive a firm offer from another party for the tentatively held dates, we will give the first party 48 hours to confirm or release the date being held, if confirmed, a lease agreement will be issued requiring a non-refundable deposit.

Tax:
10% admission tax will be collected on all tickets sold for any event held in our facilities.

Rental Rates:
On request

Rates only include established lights, heat and water necessary for presentation of the event. Additional charges will be made for special facilities or extra services. Services can include, but not be limited to: tables, installation and removal of portable chairs, staging and risers, public address system, outside amplification, special seating arrangements, rehearsal occupancies, change of seating arrangements, special electrical or mechanical connections, erection of platforms or stands other than those normally furnished, decoration and installation or removal of fixtures, clean-up, large dumpster for trash/waste removal, advance ticket sa1es service, ticket sellers, ticket takers, ushers, door guards, security, stagehands, special janitorial crew, service area attendant, employees working beyond regularly scheduled hours and parking lot attendants (if needed). A $350 clean-up fee is required for the Harrison Opera House for each performance day.

The number and identity of each persons referred to above shall be approved by the Director of Civic Facilities. A 17.5% charge will be added to the cost of all services.

Insurance:
You will be responsible for obtaining comprehensive public liability insurance in the amount of Three Million Dollars and property damage insurance in the amount of One Million Dollars. The policy shall clearly state that the City of Norfolk, its agents and employees are additional named insured under the policy. A certificate of insurance coverage must be received by the Director of Civic Facilities two weeks prior to the event. Such policy shall contain a rider requiring Thirty days (30) written notice prior to cancellation or material alteration of the policy for any reason whatsoever. Scope Promotions has available, for a nominal cost, Tenant Users Insurance to cover most types of events. Contact Scope Management at 664-6951 for information.

Food and Beverages:
Users shall not be permitted to bring in food or beverages This includes coolers, coffee service, and "take out" food. There shall be no consumption of food or beverages on stage or in the Chrysler Hall auditorium. Ogden Services (804) 404-0328 is the building caterer and has exclusive rights to all related services.

Event Personnel:
All security and backstage staff including, but not limited to, loaders, stagehands, spotlight operators, electricians, carpenters, house light operators, sound operator, and wardrobe personnel will be contracted through the facility. We are non-union facilities. A technical/stagehand crew is required for all productions/rehearsal/load-in/load-out. A backstage door guard is required at Chrysler Hall at all times the Lessee is using the facility. "Front of house" security, door guards, ticket takers, ushers and elevator operators are required for all public performances. It is the Lessee's responsibility to let us know of specific staffing requirements at least thirty days prior to the event.
