The mission of the Norfolk Department of Public Health is to protect the health and environment of Norfolk through surveillance, service, and enforcement, and through building the capacity of citizens, individually and through neighborhoods, businesses, and organizations, to protect themselves.

Residents with special needs are invited to provide information to emergency response agencies so those agencies can better plan to serve them in a disaster or other emergency. To fill out the Special Needs Registry click here.
