Project Description: The new Second Patrol Police Facility is currently under construction and is scheduled for completion in early 2011. It will be located in the Central Business Park, adjacent to the Oakwood Elementary School. The new facility is to be 42,000 square feet and will house the Second Patrol Division, Traffic Unit, and Homeland Security Division. It will also contain a 3,000 square foot Community Room. This state-of-the-art police facility will be a LEED-certified (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) ‘green building’. The total project cost for this new facility is anticipated to be $12 million.
