Project Description: The Zoo Animal Wellness Center will consist of an 8,000 square foot Veterinary Hospital and 3,000 square foot Nutrition Center. The hospital will provide state of the art surgical and treatment suites, laboratory and pharmacy. One wing of the hospital will be for housing animals that have just arrived at the Zoo and animals that may be sick. The surgical and treatment suites will have large viewing windows on the outside walls so visitors will be able to see treatment in progress. Meals will be prepared for most of the Zoo residents in the Nutrition Center. The food preparation area will also have viewing windows so visitors can see the Zoo staff in action.
