The
Director's Office provides administrative and leadership services to
the Department of Utilities.
Kristen M. Lentz, P.E., serves as Norfolk's Director of
Utilities and heads the department.
Stephanie Tinsley serves as Norfolk's Assistant Director of
Utilities.
The leadership team manages
more than 350 employees in
eight divisions who work together to serve more than 800,000
customers. The entire department prides itself on providing
high quality customer service 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The Director's Office leads the department in
providing the best possible value in water and wastewater services.
The group ensures that Norfolk Utilities satisfies its customers and
meets or exceeds all federal and state water quality and
environmental regulations.
The Department not only serves the City of
Norfolk, but also serves the Hampton Roads area as a regional water
purveyor. Norfolk provides quality drinking water to the
Cities of Norfolk, Virginia Beach, and parts of Chesapeake, as well
as US military installations.
The department manages the Water Fund annual
budget of $79,462,300 and the Wastewater Fund annual budget of
$22,785,900.
The office is located in the Granby Municipal Building, 400 Granby
Street, Norfolk.
