  Mission Statement

We are responsible for the effective and efficient administration and management of technology for production control and business applications for the Department of Utilities.  

  Core Services

• We maintain and support hardware, software, communications, electronics, and instrumentation components in production control systems. 

• We design, develop, install and maintain business application systems.

• We specify, order, install and support desktop hardware and software, communications networks, physical security systems, and other office and communication equipment.

• We provide technical expertise, management assistance and practical support for departmental initiatives.

• We conduct research for technological advances and prepare tactical and strategic plant to implement technological improvements.  

  Philosophy

We believe responsible and appropriate use of dependable technology is essential for completing the elements of our department's mission.

We believe that technology must be current in order to be fully effective, but we do not believe in replacing existing, functional technology without a supportable business reason.

Perhaps most importantly, we do not believe in the use of technology for technology’s sake.
