The Victim/Witness Assistance Program of the Office of the Norfolk Commonwealth’s Attorney provides a select number of unpaid internships to students studying Criminal Justice, Social Work, and related fields in furtherance of their education. Through observation and hands-on experience interns learn the important role a victim/witness advocate holds throughout the prosecution of a criminal case. Generally, the Office hosts interns from May through August of each year. Internships can be arranged for other time periods on a case by case basis. If you are interested in an internship with the Victim/Witness Assistance Program of the Office of the Norfolk Commonwealth’s Attorney, please submit a cover letter and resume.
