C-1                                 Letter from the City Manager advising in accordance with Chapter 33.1-40 of the Norfolk City Code, of a sole source procurement report for Motorola “Flashport Software Upgrades” for the Departmetn of Information Technology.

 

Recommended Action: Receive and File. 

 

 

C-2                                 Letter from the City Manager presenting recommendation of the City Planning Commission on the application of Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority to amend The General Plan, 1992, from High Density Residential to Institutional and to change the zoning from R-8 (One-Family) and R-15 (High Density Multiple-Family) District to IN-1 (Institutional) District and for a Special Exception to permit a reduction in off-street parking requirements for housing for the elderly on property located at 1220 38th Street.

 

Recommended Action: Authorize the City Clerk to advertise for a public hearing on June 3, 2008.

R-2                                 Letter from the City Manager and an Ordinance entitled, “An Ordinance accepting with appreciation the donation of a Disaster Medical Support Unit Trailer with a value of $47,129.14 to the City from Hampton Roads Metropolitan Medical Response System and authorizing the use of the trailer for disaster medical response,” will be introduced in writing and read by its title.

 

R-3                                 Letter from the City Manager and an Ordinance entitled, “An Ordinance authorizing the purchase from Davinci, LLC of certain parcels of property located in the City of Norfolk and described as 418 Granby Street (Tax ID #45207500) and a vacant lot on Monticello Avenue (Tax ID #45215100) for the sum of $350,000.00; authorizing the City Manager to negotiate an agreement in substantial conformity with the terms and conditions of the attached Purchase and Sale Agreement; and appropriating and authorizing the expenditure of the sum of $360,000.00 to pay the purchase price and other transaction costs,” will be introduced in writing and read by its title.
