PUBLIC HEARING
PH-1 PUBLIC HEARING scheduled this day pursuant to action of the Council on May 21, 2002, under the State law, public notice having been inserted in the local press by the City Clerk on the application of Faith Deliverance Christian Center, Inc., for a change of zoning from R-8 (One-Family) to IN-1 (Institutional) on property located on the southeast corner of 28th Street and Druid Circle.
The following opponents were present for PH-1 and PH-1A: Pastor Sharon S. Riley, 1010 E. 26th Street; Stephen Mapp, 3574 Kentucky Avenue; Louis Johnson, architect, 7 Whipple Drive, Hampton 23663.
Thereupon, an Ordinance entitled, "An Ordinance to rezone the southeast corner of 28th Street and Druid Circle from R-8 (One Family) to IN-1 (Institutional)," was introduced in writing and read by its title.
ACTION: The Ordinance as introduced was adopted, effective June 11, 2002.

PH-1A PUBLIC HEARING scheduled this day pursuant to action of the Council on May 21, 2002, under the State law, public notice having been inserted in the local press by the City Clerk on the application of Faith Deliverance Christian Center, to close, vacate and discontinue a portion of Druid Circle which is adjacent to the church located at 1010 East 26th Street.
Thereupon, an Ordinance entitled, "An Ordinance vacating a portion of Druid Circle from the southern line of 28th Street extending southwardly to a line that is ten feet north of and parallel to the northern line of 26th Street.
ACTION: The Ordinance as introduced was adopted, effective June 11, 2002.

C-1 Letter from the City Manager presenting recommendation of the City Planning Commission on the application of City of Norfolk, to close, vacate, and discontinue a portion of Washington Park, which is adjacent to Blair Middle School.

English to encroach into the right of way of Willoughby Bay Avenue, a paper street, approximately forty feet (40’), at 1217 Little Bay Avenue, with a six-foot (6’) wide wooden pier," was introduced in writing and read by its title.
The applicant, Sandra English, 1217 Little Bay Avenue, was present but did not speak.

Virginia Beach Boulevard and 1115 Tidewater Drive (Parcels A & B) from BLC Real Estate Corporation; approving the purchase and sale agreement; and authorizing the expenditure of the sum of one million and fifty thousand dollars ($1, 050,000) for such purpose from funds heretofore appropriated," was introduced in writing and read by its title.
