R-1 Matter of a public hearing scheduled this day pursuant to action of the Council on June 25, 2002, under the State law, public notice having been inserted in the local press by the City Clerk on the application of Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority, to amend the Zoning Ordinance to implement the East Beach project.

Thereupon, an Ordinance entitled, "An Ordinance to create the East Beach Mixed Use Planned Development and to rezone property located north of Pretty Lake Avenue from C-2 (Corridor Commercial) and R-12 (Medium Density Multiple Family) to East Beach PD-MU (Planned Development Mixed Use District), was introduced in writing and read by its title.

R-2 Letter from the City Manager and an Ordinance entitled, "An Ordinance approving the application for and acceptance of a grant award of $321,142 from the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) for the Local Law Enforcement Block Grants Program, appropriating the grant funds and authorizing the expenditure of a local cash match of $35,682," was introduced in writing and read by its title.
