PH-1 PUBLIC HEARING scheduled this day pursuant to action of the Council on June 11, 2002, under the State law, public notice having been inserted in the local press by the City Clerk on the application of the City Planning Commission, to amend a portion of Chapter 11, Chesapeake Bay Preservation Area Overlay District, of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Norfolk, 1992 as amended, to remove provisions allowing administrative exceptions for accessory structures located in the required buffer areas.
Lewis J. Taylor, 516 Oak Grove Road, spoke in support of PH-1.
Thereupon, an Ordinance entitled, "An Ordinance to repeal subsection (c) of Section 11-2.12 of the Zoning Ordinance of the Norfolk City Code, 1979, SO AS TO amend the review process for accessory structures within the fifty foot channel ward buffer of the resource protection area," was introduced in writing and read by its title.

PH-2 PUBLIC HEARING scheduled this day pursuant to action of the Council on June 18, 2002, under the State law, public notice having been inserted in the local press by the City Clerk on the application of City of Norfolk and WaterMark Development, LLC, for a text amendment and change of zoning on a 31-acre site located southeast of Pretty Lake Avenue.
Lyle Wermers, representative for the applicant, 213 Riverwalk Parkway, Chesapeake, Virginia, was present to answer questions.
