NEW BUSINESS
1. Bev Sell, 3424 Chesapeake Boulevard, spoke against any future R-13 development in the Five Points area, and inquired as to the status of the Norview Community Center.
2. Professor A. S. Lymus, Norfolk State University, Department of Interdisciplinary Studies, was accompanied by students who spoke on
the following topics:
· Vena Harris, 1203 Lead Street, Apartment L, spoke on the topic of gang violence at the middle school level.
· Janice Mason, 401 East Little Creek Road, proposed a scholarship program for students who live in public housing.
· Lamont Fowler, 700 Park Avenue, suggested ways to fund the proposed scholarship.
· Juan Gaydon, 700 Park Avenue, introduced a plan of action to reduce crimes involving minorities.
·
Bradley Johnson, 700 Park Avenue, suggested ways
to implement said plan of action.
