PH-1 PUBLIC HEARING scheduled
this day pursuant to action of the Council on October 11, 2005, under the State
law, public notice been inserted in the local press by the City Clerk on the application of Larry Gossett to change
the zoning from R-6 (One-Family Residential) to R-7 (One-Family Residential) on
property located at 108 Glenrock Road.
Thereupon,
An Ordinance entitled, An Ordinance to rezone
property located at 108 Glenrock Road from R-6 (One-Family Residential)
to R-7 (One-Family Residential), was introduced in writing and read by
its title.

Company because of telephone facilities located on York Street.

from the City Manager and an Ordinance entitled, An Ordinance to amend and
reordain Section 25.1-37 of the Norfolk City Code, 1979, regarding discount
parking for residents of and visitors to the central business district, SO AS TO abolish discount parking at
metered spaces for residents, was introduced in writing and read by its title.
ACTION: The Ordinance as
introduced was adopted, effective November 1, 2005.

from the City Manager and an Ordinance entitled, An Ordinance to amend and

watercraft that acquires a situs within the city solely due to the domicile of
the owner of such commercial oceangoing boat or watercraft, was introduced in
writing and read by its title.

Ordinance entitled, An Ordinance to cancel the regular meeting of the Council

Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday November 29, 2005, at 2:30 P.M. to 7:30
P.M. in the Council Chamber, was introduced in writing and read by its title.

1. Daniel
Montague, 4605 Krick Street, spoke in opposition of the light rail.
2. Alton Robinson, 735 West 35th Street,
spoke concerning crime in Park Place.
3. Alma Kesling, 4535 Bankhead Avenue, spoke concerning property
located on Chesapeake Boulevard and informed Council of her rights to review the
resumes of those who are currently serving on the Planning Commission.
