PH-1                              PUBLIC HEARING scheduled this day pursuant to action of the Council on May 16, 2006, under the State law, public notice having been inserted in the local press by the City Clerk to hear comments on a lease agreement with Verizon Virginia, Inc., for a parcel of land off of Shell Road, in the City of Virginia Beach

 

                   No one was present to speak concerning this matter.

 

                   Thereupon, an Ordinance entitled, “An Ordinance approving a lease agreement with Verizon Virginia, Inc., for a parcel of land off Shell Road, in the City of Virginia Beach,” was introduced in writing and read by its title.

1.      Daniel Montague, 4605 Krick Street, commented using city money to fund studies as opposed to using in-house staff or students from Old Dominion or Norfolk State Universities.

 

2.      Ellis W. James, 2021 Kenlake Place, commented about environmental issues.

 

3.      Alton Robinson, 735 W. 35th Street, commented about danger in Norfolk communities.

 

4.      Gary Dubour, 1433 Kingston Avenue, addressed a need for more HRT buses on certain routes in the city.
