City Manager and an Ordinance entitled, “An Ordinance granting a special
exception to permit the operation of a school on property located at 4200 Granby Street,” was introduced in
writing and read by its title.
Alton Robinson, 735 W. 35th
Street, supports the new school and asked Council to consider opening similar
schools throughout the city for underprivileged children.
Ellen McDonald, the applicant
1225 Botetourt Gardens, answered questions of the Council.
There
were also 15 citizens present in support of this new school but did not speak.

Street, commented on the poor construction of Norview High School and asked
that city inspectors be held to a higher standard.

on a plat entitled, “Amended plat of Campostella Heights, property of the
Campostella Realty Corporation,” for the sum of $93,000.00; authorizing the
City Manager to negotiate an agreement in substantial conformity with the terms
and conditions of the attached purchase and sale agreement; and authorizing the
expenditure of a sum of up to $98,000.00 from funds heretofore appropriated to
cover the purchase price and other transaction costs,’ SO AS TO correct the

NEW BUSINESS
Alton
Robinson, 735 W. 35th Street, commented on the relationship between
the police and youth in our city and asked for improvement.
Lamar
Brown, 340 San Antonio Boulevard, commented on the police department’s use of
lethal force and asked that other measures be used to apprehend alleged
criminals.
