Since its arrival in 2000, Nauticus staff have sometimes wondered about the nature of certain mysterious sounds and happenings aboard the Battleship Wisconsin.
Help us discover if BB-64 might be haunted with an after hours ghost hunt below decks.
You'll explore areas that have never been open to the public – if you dare!
Requires physical ability to climb steep ladder steps and navigate tight sub-deck spaces. Not suitable for children, the claustrophobic or the faint of heart.
Fee.  Doors open at 6 P.M, and advance ticket purchase is not necessary.  Please call 757-664-1000 for more information.

 
THE BRIG OF BARTHOLOMEW:  Halloween Puppet Show

THE HUNT FOR DEAD OCTOBER:  Hampton Roads Naval Museum

SPIRITED 5K RUN/WALK:  Elmwood and West Point Cemeteries

Begins at the West Point Memorial & continues through Elmwood Cemetery, ending at the West Point Memorial.
Costumes are encouraged!

MASQUERADE IN GHENT - CANCELLED

Show off your Halloween costume at the Ghent Business Association's annual Masquerade in Ghent Halloween Block Party and Costume Contest.
This year's event will once again take place in the parking lot behind Dog'n'Burger, on the corner of 20th and Manteo Streets.
There’ll be live music from returning favorites, House On Fire; games for kids and grown¬ups alike; refreshments and Oktoberfest beverages featuring locally crafted beer from Ghent’s own O’Connor Brewing Company.
The event is free and open to the public.  Ample parking can be found along the street and at surrounding shopping centers.

It’s coming… are you ready for another Survive Norfolk?
You have 2 hours to find 4 checkpoints and make it back to the starting point.
Oh, and the entire time a horde of Zombies will be chasing you down.
If you get caught, you become one of them. If you get to each checkpoint and make it to the End Point without being eaten alive, then you have survived the game.
Survive Norfolk is 18+ only. All participants must sign a waiver and provide proof of age at check-in.
The following street closure restrictions allowing local traffic only will be implemented for this event:
        Colonial Avenue from 20th Street to Spotswood Avenue, 5:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
        Colonial Avenue from 21st Street to Princess Anne Road, 6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
        Llewellyn Avenue from 21st Street to Princess Anne Road, 6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
        20th Street from Colley Avenue to Omohundro Avenue, 6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
