Food Service Employees’ Class
About the Class
Individuals who work with unpackaged and/or packaged food, food equipment or utensils, or food contact surfaces are required to possess a food service (handlers) card. Food service cards are required prior to employment and are valid for two years. A food service card issued by another city may be honored.

2014 Food Service Employees' Classes

ALERT: All Food Service Employees’ Classes are cancelled from December 11, 2014 until January 4, 2015. The next Food Service Employees’ Class will be held on Monday, January 5, 2015.

Effective January 01, 2015 Food Service Employee classes will no longer be offered on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month.

Class Requirements
  • $10 non-refundable administrative fee (cash, check, or money order) due at time of registration
  • 1 form of identification required at time of registration
  • Children under 10 years of age may not attend

Mondays
Registration: 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
Class starts promptly at 9:30 a.m.
Thursday
Registration: 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
Class starts promptly at 9:30 a.m.

Registration: 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Class starts promptly at 3:30 p.m.

Class will start promptly at the times listed above. No admittance once class has started.

In the event that a holiday falls on a regularly scheduled class day, the class will be canceled. This will not change the other regularly scheduled classes. The classes are approximately 1.5 hours in length. Class participants will receive a food handler card at the end of the class. Food handler cards are valid for two years. Seating is limited to class participants only.
