Through education, programming, and community service the Norfolk Environmental Commission, Keep Norfolk Beautiful, and Friends of Norfolk's Environment are growing the environmental awareness of all Norfolk citizens.

Together all three groups have the strong, ambitious goal of leading citizens to become environmental stewards of the entire City of Norfolk.

The Norfolk Environmental Commission is a City Council appointed group of citizens who lead the effort toward environmental stewardship in Norfolk.

Keep Norfolk Beautiful
Keep Norfolk Beautiful is a branch of the City of Norfolk's Public Works Department that aids the NEC in the effort toward leading citzens to environmental stewardship and offers volunteer and community service opportunities through programs such as the Great American Cleanup, Adopt-A-Spot, and Clean the Bay Day, among others..

Friends of Norfolk's Environment is a non-profit organization that supports the efforts of Keep Norfolk Beautiful and the Norfolk Environmental Commission.





Keep Norfolk Beautiful programs are managed by the City of Norfolk and the Norfolk Environmental Commission and supported by the Freinds of Norfolk's Environment, Inc.
