2014 WASTE MANAGEMENT 
HOLIDAY COLLECTION SCHEDULE

Natural Christmas Tree Collection:

  • The City of Norfolk accepts NATURAL trees, as part of their Yard Waste collection service.
  • Natural trees will be picked up curbside, and recycled on regular trash collection days.
  • Holiday lights and natural trees are also accepted from Norfolk residents at the City's Household Hazardous Waste and E-Waste Facility, 1176 Pineridge Rd., Monday through Saturday, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.

Artificial Christmas Tree Collection
  • Artificial Christmas trees may be scheduled for bulk waste collection.  
  • Artificial trees should be removed from the stand, and cleared of all ornaments, tinsel and lights.

Helpful Tips:

  • Requests for bulk waste collection must be made by 3pm, unless otherwise noted in the chart above, by calling the Norfolk Cares IMPACT Center at (757) 441-5813, or by completing a request at www.norfolk.gov/BulkWasteForm. 
  • Blue recycling containers are collected on the same scheduled day of the week as green containers; however, recycling is collected every other week.
  • To determine your recycling day, call 757-441-5813 or view the recycling calendar.
