The Department of Human Resources provides support services in the administration of the city’s human resources program by:

Analyzing and recommending contemporary pay strategies, trends, and best practices

Creating and consulting on policy development and interpretation

Creating and facilitating training programs, which address the needs of our employee population

Developing cost efficient recruitment and selection strategies

Providing a comprehensive and cost-effective benefits program to include initiatives focused on safety and wellness

Providing timely and comprehensive advisory services related to investigations, grievance resolutions, disciplinary actions, and complaints
