The Seaboard Building, constructed in 1900 at 235 Plume Street, will serve as the temporary home of the Kirn Memorial Library when that facility is demolished later this year to pave the way for the construction of Norfolk’s light rail system. Mayor Paul Fraim gave reporters and photographers a glimpse of the building during a media tour on May 14, 2008. The Mayor said the changes to the building would be “minor and cosmetic in nature”.
