Here are some helpful tips for finding your lost pet:

• Visit NACC every couple of days. Many rabbits, birds and other pocket pets can look very similar. You know your pet's particular color and markings better than we do.
• Bring a picture of your lost pet to the shelter, preferably a color picture. This will help us assist you better in your search for your lost pet.
• Post color copies of your lost pet around your neighborhood where people gather. We suggest convenience store, post offices, gas stations, etc. Alert your mail carrier; he or she travels the neighborhood daily and may see your pet.
• Post pictures of your pet online: Facebook, Craigslist, and others have helped reunite many pets. Contact us for a list of specific website suggestions.
• Don't give up! Many pets make their way home after weeks or even months.
