Special Pickups by Request

Special collection refers to the removal of large bulky items such as appliances, mattresses, furniture, and other items that will not fit in the container. To ensure collection of appliances, make sure the items do not contain trash or debris.

These items are collected on your regular collection day with your other household waste.

Call 441-5813 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, to schedule a special collection or use www.norfolk.gov/publicworks/WM/bulkwaste_form.asp to schedule your request online.

Call or email your request before 3:00 p.m. on the day before the regular collection day to schedule a pickup. Calls and emails received after 3:00 p.m. will be scheduled for the following week.
