License Plate Services
What you Need
To purchase plates for a vehicle that is already titled and registered in the state
of Virignia, you will need to bring in the current registration or title, and your
Driver's License or ID Card. For a vehicle that is new to you, visit the
Title page and the Registration page for
information on how to complete the additional steps required, and what you will
need.
License Plates
For standard plates we will complete the process for you and get you your new plates
same day. We also carry a limited selection of specialty plates; however, for your
convenience we can also check the availability of the specialty plate you desire,
and order it for you. You will use the plates that are currently on the vehicle
until the specialty plates arrive.
Associated Fees
The fee for standard plates is 40.75. Specialty plates are more expensive, additionally
specialty plates may carry with them an anual fee to continue to support the group's
plates you have chosen.
How can I pay for my Plates?
Plate fees can be paid by cash, check, credit, or debit. Important:
payment forms cannot be split between credit/debit and other forms. If you plan
on paying with a card, the sum of your payment must go on the card. You may split
cash and check
Military Personnel
There are no changes for military personnel to the above information.
