Driving Records
What you need?
To obtain a copy of your Driving records you will need to bring in your Driver's
License or proof of identification.
Steps taken
There are several different conditions that effect which record you can obtain.
If the copy is for your insurance company, you will receive a 5-year record. If
the copy will be for your employer, you will receive a 7-year record. If you do
not specify the reason for the record, you will receive an 11-year record.
Associated Fees
For most records, there is an $8 fee. If the record is required to be certified,
there is an additional $5 fee.
Records can be obtained free of charge for any federal, state, or local government
entities. They are also free of charge if the record is for Volunteer firefighters/rescue
squads, or a court-appointed special advocate program. For Firefighters you
need written evidence the fire company/rescue squad needs the transcript. For court-appointed
service, written evidence that you have applied to a special advocate program.
