Facility Use ID Cards


Get the card that is the key to Norfolk’s recreation centers and pools, the Facility Use I.D. Card.

Facility Use I.D. Cards are issued for participants age 5 and older to be used at all recreation centers and pools. Children age 4 and under are admitted free with parent/guardian supervision. Cards must be presented upon entering a facility. Facility Use I.D. Cards are not required for registration and attendance of fee-based classes.

Daily Guest Pass $2
Lost Card Replacement Fee $3

FAMILY DISCOUNT PLANS

NOTE: To qualify for a family plan discount, ALL members of the family must be present at the time of purchase.

One parent & one child $25
One parent & up to three children $30
Two parents & one child $40
Family of four or more $50

Cards are valid for one year from purchase date. For youth, verification of date of birth must be given by showing an original birth certificate. For adults, a valid driver's license or identification card, as well as proof of Norfolk residency by showing a utility bill not more than 30 days old is required.

Pay by check or money order made out to Norfolk City Treasurer. Up to $10 cash will be accepted per transaction.

Youth from families receiving any sort of assistance can request a fee waiver in writing that includes the youth's name, age and address, as well as proof of assistance (i.e. identification number on food stamp card or ADC card). Send fee waiver request letters to:

Facility Use Application

Would you like to host your next event or athletic activity at a City of Norfolk park, recreation facility, or ball field? If so, please click here for the RPOS Facility Use Application. This application must be completed at least 14 days prior to the activity or event for which the field or facility is requested.

TDD Machine

Norfolk’s Department of Recreation, Parks & Open Space has a TDD machine. This machine allows us to communicate more effectively with our hearing impaired participants. The TDD number is 441-1764. If you have a hearing impairment, please press your spacebar so that the staff will know that you are calling on the TDD. You can also utilize the Virginia Relay Center at 1-800-828-1120.
