Teen Camps
Digital Connectors® Camp is a curriculum-driven, teen leadership program offered free-of-charge and is sponsored by the Department of Recreation, Parks & Open Space (RPOS) in partnership with One Economy Corporation. Young people, in rising grades 9-12, will develop their talent and skills in technology as well as leadership to prepare them for success in the 21st Century workplace. They will receive training and participate in community service opportunities in the areas of technology instruction, technical support, digital media, marketing, workforce readiness and leadership development.
Camp Inspired is a curriculum-driven, teen leadership program offered freeof- charge and is sponsored by the
Department of Recreation, Parks & Open Space (RPOS) in partnership with Teens With a Purpose (TWP). Camp Inspired
is led by teen peer leaders who mentor other teens regarding issues that they face on a daily basis to include self-esteem,
leadership development, pregnancy and STDs.

21st Century Community Learning Centers After the Bell Program
After the Bell, an After School Program, incorporates the diverse resources of community partners to focus on the needs and interests of a unique middle school student population. By nurturing their development, students better achieve their potential while building positive relationships with caring adults. The After the Bell program is currently at Lake Taylor Middle School, Blair Middle School and Lafayette-Winona Middle School.For more information call, (757) 441-2400, ext. 223.

Norfolk Youth Council
Established in 1999 to identify priorities on behalf of the City’s youth and to provide policy direction for the future. NYC serves as the primary bridge between the city government and the youth of Norfolk.
