A: TV 48 is Norfolk’s
Neighborhood Network. It is run by the city and provides programming
on topics of relevance to citizens in Norfolk. TV 48’s mission is to
serve as a vital link between city government and citizens by
televising important, timely and useful information.

A: TV 48 offers a variety
of programs -- long and short form -- which provide important
information about city services, programs and initiatives. Programs
also feature neighborhood, community/regional news and activities as
well as topics of local interest. The city of Norfolk produces four
main programs for TV 48:
Norfolk Perspectives,
HealthWatch,
Council
Update and
Norfolk Fire Rescue
Training.

A: Yes. TV 48 produces
and airs several special programs about significant city matters. In
addition, TV 48 airs some independently produced programs, such as
“Virginia Capital News Report,” a half-hour program designed to keep
viewers informed about legislative matters before the governor and
General Assembly, and “Army Newswatch,” a magazine program featuring
stories about the U.S. Army.

A: TV 48 has an agreement

WHRO for use of its television facility to operate WCTY and to provide
