PH-1                              PUBLIC HEARING scheduled this day pursuant to action of the Council on April 14, 2009, under the State law, public notice having been inserted in the local press by the City Clerk to hear comments on Series 2009 General Obligation Bonds to fund the cashflow needs of the City’s capital improvement plan.

 

PH-2                              PUBLIC HEARING scheduled this day pursuant to action of the Council on April 14, 2009, under the State law, public notice having been inserted in the local press by the City Clerk on the application of Old Dominion University Real Estate Foundation to close, vacate, and discontinue a portion of Shumadine Road between 39th Street and 40th Street.

 

PH-3                              PUBLIC HEARING scheduled this day under the State law, public notice having been inserted in the local press by the City Clerk to hear comments on the Business Improvement District Tax.

R-1                                 Letter from the City Manager and the following two Ordinances:

 

An Ordinance entitled, “An Ordinance to amend the General Plan of, Norfolk, 1992, SO AS TO change the land use designation for the property located at 812 to 822 Spotswood Avenue and 817 Brandon Avenue from High Density Residential to Commercial/ Office,” will be introduced in writing and read by its title.

 

R-1A                              An Ordinance entitled, “An Ordinance to rezone properties located at 812 to 822 Spotswood Avenue and 817 Brandon Avenue from R-13 (Multiple-Family Residential) District to Conditional C-2 (Corridor Commercial) District,” will be introduced in writing and read by its title.

 

 

R-2                                 Letter from the City Manager and an Ordinance entitled, “An Ordinance approving the acceptance of a grant award of $30,000 from the Virginia Department of Emergency Management for the continuation of the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program to assist in preparedness for response to crime, terrorism and disasters and appropriation the funds for the program,” will be introduced in writing and read by its title.
