PUBLIC HEARINGS

                                                               

PH-1                                                   PUBLIC HEARING scheduled this day pursuant to action of the Council on June 3, 2008, under the State law, public notice having been inserted in the local press by the City Clerk on the application of Berkley Machine Works and Foundry Company, to close, vacate and discontinue a portion of Pine Street.

 

PH-2                                                   PUBLIC HEARING scheduled this day pursuant to action of the Council on June 3, 2008, under the State law, public notice having been inserted in the local press by the City Clerk to hear comments on the City of Norfolk’s Water Supply Plan as required by the Code of Virginia, Section 62.1-44.38:1.

 

PH-3                                                   PUBLIC HEARING scheduled this day pursuant to action of the Council on June 3, 2008, under the State law, public notice having been inserted in the local press by the City Clerk to hear comments on the approval of a Deed of Easement granting permission for Virginia Natural Gas to install an underground pipeline at Lamberts Point Golf Course and property south of the HRSD plant off Powhatan Avenue.

R-2                                 Letter from the City Manager and an Ordinance entitled, “An Ordinance appropriating and authorizing the expenditure of $37,500.00 from the Commonwealth of Virginia, State Executive Council for Comprehensive Services for At-Risk Youth and Families for the Norfolk Interagency Consortium Administration Program and authorizing the expenditure of $300,000.00 in local matching funds for the program for the Fiscal Year 2009 and authorizing the City Manager to employ four persons in the status of Special Project Employees,” will be introduced in writing and read by its title.

                               

R-3                                 Letter from the City Manager and an Ordinance entitled, “An Ordinance appropriating $23,611,005 in state and federal grants, contract funds, fees and miscellaneous revenue to the Norfolk Community Services Board and approving the Board’s Annual Program for Fiscal Year 2008-2009,” will be introduced in writing and read by its title.

                  

R-4                                 Letter from the City Manager and an Ordinance entitled, “An Ordinance approving an increase in the estimated total project cost of the Sewells Point Road Pedestrian Buttons/Crosswalks Safety Improvement Project to $549,000, and appropriating and authorizing the expenditure of the additional sum of $275,600 from the Virginia Department of Transportation Safety Improvement Program Funds, if and when made available by the Virginia Department of Transportation,” will be introduced in writing and read by its title.

         

 

R-5                                 Letter from the City Manager and an Ordinance entitled, “An Ordinance amending and reordaining Section 2.1-7 of the Norfolk City Code, 1979, concerning classifications and regrades SO AS TO add one subsection concerning recruits” will be introduced in writing and read by its title.

 

                  

R-6                                 Letter from the City Manager and an Ordinance entitled, “An Ordinance approving the conveyance by the Visitors of Old Dominion University to the City of Norfolk of certain parcels of property located along 43rd Street subject to certain terms and conditions,” will be introduced in writing and read by its title.
