I INVITATION FOR BIDS

PROJECT: Moores Bridges Water Treatment Plant - High Service Trim Pump Station and Misc. Upgrades

LOCATION: Norfolk, VA

Sealed bids are to be received in City of Norfolk Department of Utilities, Attn: Director’s Office, 400 Granby Street, 2 nd Floor, Norfolk, VA 23510 until 3:00 p.m. local time on February 15, 2011 for the above titled Project.

The Work under this Project consists of the modifications at the HS Trim PS (relocation of a VFD and ventilation upgrades); modifications at Chemical Building (new water supply piping, new electrical feeder, new chemical hopper dust collectors, new ventilation and heating, polymer feeder); modifications related to Solids Transfer Station No. 3 (new solids pumps, new electrical feeder and panel, new solids transfer line); and associated civil, mechanical, electrical and controls at the City of Norfolk Moores Bridges Water Treatment Plant in Norfolk, Virginia.

A MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. local time at Moores Bridges Water Treatment Plant, 6040 Waterworks Rd. Norfolk, VA 23502 . This will be the only opportunity for an on-site tour. Attendees should contact Tonia Woodley (757) 664-6767 , no later than 1:00 P.M., Monday, January 31, 2011 to attend the scheduled pre-bid conference. Bidders must be present at the start of this meeting.
