INVITATION FOR BIDS

CITY OF NORFOLK – DEPARTMENT OF UTILITIES

PROJECT: Pump Station 7 Phase I – Pumping Station Replacement

Sealed bids are to be received in City of Norfolk Department of Utilities, Attn: Director’s Office, 400 Granby Street, 2nd floor, Norfolk, VA 23510 until 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, 22 May 2007, for the above titled Project.

The Work under this Project consists of replacement of existing City of Norfolk sanitary sewer pump station 7 to include new station and demolition of existing station.

A MANDATORY Pre-Bid conference is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, 2 May 2007, at 10:00a.m. at the existing pumping station site at 1808 Brambleton Avenue.

The City of Norfolk is participating in the Virginia Clean Water Facilities Wastewater Facilities Revolving Loan Fund (VCWFRLF) to assist in the funding of this project.  It is therefore necessary that the successful bidder be aware of the requirements established by the EPA.  Refer to the Instructions to Bidders and Section 110 - Special Provisions for details of these requirements.
