Informational Brochures

Listed below are brochures that have been developed by the City of Norfolk Department of Utilities.  These brochures present information on the use of the drinking water reservoirs for sportsman and residents of the watersheds.

Waterfront News - a newsletter from the Department of Utilities to our neighbors around the reservoirs.

Waterfront News Issue 2 - A brief history of the Norfolk water system and ways to protect the water system for the future.

"Norfolk Reservoir System" - This is a general overview of the Norfolk Reservoir system and the boating and fishing laws.  A map of the reservoirs is included.

"Landscaping in the Reservoir System" - This is aimed at people that live in the watershed of the Norfolk Reservoir System.  Tips on landscaping, fertilizer use and beneficial plants for water quality.

"A Second Life for Trees in Lakes" - This article first appeared in the North American Lake Management Society's quarterly publication "LakeLine".  See how a tree in the lake can be beneficial.
