For Your Utility Bill

   If you have received a cut-off notice, or your service has been discontinued for non-payment, please visit one of our authorized "pay in person" sites to ensure timely processing of your payment. 

  Locate the nearest utility bill payment location with our new Google Map web page. The map includes both 'pay-in-person' and drop box locations. You can use option buttons to view by street map, satellite picture or a hybrid (composite) of the two. Click on a location’s balloon, enter your address and let Google Maps provide driving directions for you.

Checks and money orders are accepted through the mail.  NO CASH PLEASE.  Please include your payment stub and write your account number on your check or money order.

You May Use One Of Our Payment Drop Box Locations. 

  All of our convenient drop box "fire hydrants" are clearly marked.  Click Here for a listing of our drop box locations. 

Only checks and money orders are accepted at the drop boxes.  NO CASH PLEASE.  All payments deposited at a drop box prior to 12 noon on a business day will be posted that day. Payments deposited after 12 noon will be posted the next business day.

You May Pay With A Major Credit Card.

All credit card payments are made through the Official Payments Corp.  They will charge a $4.95 convenience fee to your credit card for this service.  The maximum transaction total is $300.00.

   By phone:

          Dial 1-800-272-9829.

          At the prompt, enter 1078 for the jurisdiction number.

** You will need your HRUBS account #. 

**Please be prepared to provide credit card information and record confirmation #.

  On the Web:

         Go to the Official Payments Corporation web site, and then:

1. Click on the PAYMENT CENTER tab on the menu bar.
2. On the next screen under STEP 1 - Select a Service Type, select Local.
3. State: Virginia
4. Payment Entity: Hampton Roads Sanitation District
5. Payment Type will default to Utility Payment
6. Follow the instructions to enter payment information.

Before you conclude your transaction, you will be given the amount of the convenience fee, the total of your transaction and your confirmation number. Please keep your confirmation number.
