The Norfolk Fitness & Wellness Center (NFWC) facility was acquired by the City of Norfolk
in the Fall of 2004. Since its inception, the NFWC has been a hallmark of the Ward’s Corner community with program opportunities designed for all ages.
• Exercise, music and dance classes (fee-based -- click here for more information);
• Outdoor lighted tennis courts for open play for members only. Racquets
and balls can be checked out at no charge with membership card.
• Two racquetball courts available for members only. One court
is by reservation 24 hours in advance for one hour of play each day. All reservations include a five minute grace period. The other court is available on a first come, first
served basis. Players must be age 14 or older to play unsupervised; any under age 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Eye protection is required to play.
• Fitness specialist on duty in fitness areas.
• Certified personal fitness trainers available by appointment. See

• Free fitness orientation

• Weight Watchers® meetings on Wednesdays, 4:30p-8:00p. Now offering
two meetings.
• Fit Kids Zone! for ages 8 to 14.
• Full basketball court (air-conditioned)
• Gymnasium open for basketball, volleyball and for stretching or workouts
• Wellness seminars offered once a month on Saturdays. All ages are invited. Free and open to the

• Quarterly health expo. All ages

• Variety of courses to include aquatics, dance, fitness, music and
