Please be advised the City of Norfolk has issued a temporary hiring freeze for all full-time and part-time, non-essential positions, effective until further notice.
We will continue to hire essential positions only. Essential positions include sworn police and fire, 911 telecommunicators, deputy sheriffs, refuse collectors, water/wastewater operators, and select Human Services and Community Service Board positions.
Job seekers are encouraged to apply as the Department of Human Resources will continue to review applications.
