International Coastal Cleanup - SITE LEADERS NEEDED! September 2022 - October 2022

In partnership with the Ocean Conservancy and Clean Virginia Waterways, join Keep Norfolk Beautiful for the 2022 International Coastal Cleanup (ICC)!  The ICC isn’t your average cleanup - volunteers use tracking sheets to collect data on the types and amount of litter found. This year, you can register as a site leader for one of Norfolk's 10 sites, or volunteer at a KNB hosted event. To get started, register now

#BagtheBeach

This summer, join Keep Norfolk Beautiful as a Bag the Beach Ambassador! For this program, you will serve as an ambassador on Norfolk beaches by passing out trash bags and reminding beachgoers to #BagtheBeach. Ambassadors must be 18+ to participate. To get started, register here.

New Volunteer Engagement Platform

Keep Norfolk Beautiful’s (KNB) Adopt-A-Spot (AAS) Hub site is our newest volunteer engagement platform! Using the tools of ESRI ArcGIS Online, KNB’s Hub is an online gathering place enabling volunteers to track cleanup hours, view a map of Adopt-A-Spot locations, report activities, and access program documents.

The real power of this tool, however, is the Hub’s ability to visualize volunteers’ work in real-time, share stories of our efforts, and highlight programs and people that will inspire others to keep Norfolk beautiful.
