
Licensing Dogs & Cats
A license is required for every cat or dog residing in the city as soon as they reach four months of age. A current rabies certificate is required in order to obtain a license Additionally, documentation that your animal has been spayed or neutered is required in order to receive the reduced rate.
Fees
City of Norfolk license fees are as follows:
Intact animal | $25 |
Spayed or neutered animal (Senior citizens) | $2 |
Spayed or neutered animal | $5 |
Duplicate tag (lost or stolen) | $1 |
Seeing eye or hearing assistance dog | No charge |
