Community Mentoring

Community Mentoring Project

Reentry participants benefit from an additional system of support made up of volunteer mentors, people who are not staff, but who "care" about what happens to the Reentry participant.

The Community Mentoring Project is administered by the Norfolk Department of Human Services. Its mission is to foster the development of constructive relationships between community members and Norfolk Reentry Participants in order to strengthen the latter's ability to overcome adverse circumstances, avoid recidivism, become a productive member in society, and successfully reintegrate with his/her family and the community.

Upcoming Training Schedule to be announced.
